We are raising awareness for National Bully Prevention Month!
Oct. 5th - Wear a hat to "Put a Cap on Bullying"
Bullying or....
Joking Around...... Everyone is involved, and no one is getting hurt.
Conflict...... Based on a disagreement & both sides are involved. Power is equal.
Rude Moment...... Accidentally hurting one’s feelings or body with unplanned words or actions.
Mean Moment...... Purposefully saying or doing something to hurt one’s feeling or body.
Bullying...... Intentionally & repeatedly being hurtful to another & the person doing the hurting has more power.
Oct. 12th - DONUT even get dressed - Wear your PJs and "DONUT be a bully."
You can make a difference
When you see someone being rude or mean to another, be brave and STAND UP for them. Bullies (and mean teasers) have been known to back off when others stand up for victims. If you don’t feel safe get the help of an adult immediately. Be part of the solution, rather than part of the problem.
Oct. 19th - National Unity Day -Everyone Wear ORANGE
“Together against bullying. United for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.”
Make friends with someone at school whom you don’t know as well. If you've ever felt alone in a crowd, you probably wish someone had done that for you. If not imagine how lonely that would be and be a leader. Take action and don’t let anyone at school be in isolation.
