Thanks to JP & Gayle at the South Dakota Mail, the elementary students receive their own copy of the newspaper once a month. The 5th grade students enjoy reading the paper and doing activities to locate certain information in newspaper print.

Our fourth graders had a lot of fun the last couple weeks creating Christmas art, singing at their concert, making parent gifts, and doing holiday activities! ❄️⛄️
Eighth graders have been learning about energy and collisions. They were tasked with creating a way to protect a raw egg from cracking when being dropped from the crow's nest. We are excited to report that all five groups were successful!
Seventh graders have been learning about states of matter, elements, compounds, and changes. They got to have some fun while investigating how some substances, like oobleck, have properties of both liquids and solids.

From our hallways to your homes....We would like to thank the families of the Plankinton School District for sharing your kids with us and trusting us with them each day—even on the days they come in extra tired (6-12 kids) to extra energetic (PK-5 kids) 😝. We are truly blessed with some of the best kids around. They keep us laughing and learning. We’re so grateful for your support and for the joy your kids bring to our school every day.
