Due to the cold temperatures, there will be NO festival choir practice at 7:30 tomorrow (2-18-25) morning for grades 4-6. It has been rescheduled to Friday, February 21st, at 7:30 in the music room. Please reach out to Mrs. Stoebner (ly.stoebner@k12.sd.us) with any questions.

Congratulations to our High School POWER Student of the Month for February. Students are nominated for exemplifying/practicing the POWER expectations. Beberlin was nominated for the following reasons -Beberlin is a student that is dedicated to learning! She works very hard to excel in every class. She completes her assignments on time and always seeks out help if she needs it. She uses all her resources to be successful with her work. She never gives up! Beberlin is also a joy to be around. She has a friendly and thoughtful personality. Other students enjoy working with her because she so helpful. Beberlin is also involved in Winter Guard, which shows her school spirit. She is very deserving of this award!


Congratulations to our Middle School POWER Student of the Month for February. Students are nominated for exhibiting POWER expectations daily. Emersyn was nominated for the following reasons - Emersyn embodies POWER expectations every day in class. She pushes herself to excellence academically and wants to do well. She is a wonderful classmate that helps others in need in a respectful and caring manner. She is responsible and can be trusted to do her work in a timely manner. When she encounters problems, she reaches out and asks for help and is able to recognize her own mistakes. Great job Emersyn!

Reminder that the senior lock-in for grades 6-12 is from 8:00-12:00 tonight. There will be waivers at the door if your child hasn't turned one in. It costs $10 at the door. Bring extra money for concessions that they will be selling throughout the night!

Tiny Titans basketball for grades 1 & 2 that was originally scheduled for Monday the 10th will take place this Thursday, February 13th, during halftime of the girls varsity game against Ethan in Mount Vernon.

Junior High Boys BB game is also cancelled for tonight.

The Girls Basketball game for tonight has been postponed to Thursday, February 13th. This will be a double-header vs Ethan in Mount Vernon. Girls JV will start at 4pm, followed by the boys JV, and then the Varsity teams.

For those interested in taking a hunter safety course, here are some dates and options in Mitchell, SD. Your child must be 12 by December 31st, 2025, to take the class.
