Preston Kristensen was honored this weekend by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association and accepted an award for being named the Region 7 Head Coach of the Year! He also has surpassed 100 wins as the head coach for MVP! Emilee Fox played in the 2024 SDBCA All-Star game at the Sanford Pentagon! Congrats to both of them and the entire team on an amazing year!
SDSU Data Science Camp
This is a FREE 4-day summer camp. Food and lodging provided.
Students stay 3 nights on campus in college dorms.
This camp is aimed at creating a fun and stimulating experience for current high school students in using computers to analyze data. You will learn some basic statistics and math topics. Have fun visualizing data and developing apps.
Engage in fun activities, such as analyzing the number of chocolate chips on cookies. Learn how to write computer programs through examples.
Led by SDSU professors and graduate students, you will work in a computer lab at SDSU.

Congratulations to our Senior High POWER Student of the Month for March. Students are nominated for exemplifying/practicing the POWER expectations. Lena was nominated for: always having a positive attitude, being respectful and wanting others to do well, always on time, willing and ready to learn, and Lena always makes sure everyone is included.

Second graders are officially published authors! They put together an amazing book as a class and I couldn't be more proud of them!
The junior high kids will NOT be going to Platte for track on Thursday, April 18th. Also, the Greenway Relays that were supposed to be in MV on Friday, April 19th will not be taking place on that date due to forecasted weather conditions!
Preschool roundup for any child that will be 4 before September 1st is tomorrow afternoon, April 17th, from 2:30-3:30

Reminder that spring sports picture day is tomorrow, April 17th, at 2:00 in Mount Vernon! There are order forms with Mary at the front desk or you can order online!
Reminder! Tomorrow 4/17/2024 we will be having the Spring Sports Pictures taken at 2 pm. There are forms located in the office or you can go online and order. This is for Golf, Track, and Softball. This does NOT include baseball as it is not a school sanctioned sport.
